Boxing conditions the body and the senses by providing a fun and challenging workout. Boxing has become one of the most popular alternative workouts at the Club.
 
Certified by the USA Boxing Association, Paris Powell motivates people to work hard and have fun at the same time. Paris takes the basics of boxing and turns them into an hour-long intense, high-energy workout that exercises all major muscle groups.
 
Boxing strengthens muscles, improves agility and speed, and heightens reflexes and coordination. In addition, you'll see an increase in your endurance and your confidence.
Train with Paris in either private or group sessions. You'll start by learning the simple elements that make up boxing: the fighting stance, the jab, the one-two. Then you'll develop them by working with Paris and on the equipment: the heavy bag, reflex bag, speed bag, and the uppercut bag - each designed to improve a specific technique.

Push-ups, plyometrics, lunges, and abdominal work round out the class. Participants at all fitness levels enjoy the same class without intimidation. Your skills will improve round by round, class by class.

Cost
Your first small-group class is free. Small-group sessions are $20 per class. If you purchase a 10-class ---punch card for $160 the cost is $16 per class. Private sessions are $55 per hour.
