Swing in to February and Love It!

February brings with it the opportunity not only to show your loved ones how much you care but to show yourself how much you care. Set your goals, set a schedule, and follow through. We're only a month removed from those New Year's Goals. Keep at it. And if there's anything we can do for you here at the club, just ask.

Upcoming Events:

West Coast Swing Classes are a great way to get some fitness and smile with your partner! Classes begin February 5th and will continue each 1st and 3rd Friday. Members and non-members are invited. Admission fees apply for all participants.

The Great Gorilla Handball Tournament begins this Friday, February 5th. Stop by the Front Desk to register.

Group Power Classes have been a huge success. We've recently launched a new routine! Tone and strengthen to a great musical routine.

Our free Health and Wellness Talks have been a huge success. Check out our Events page for schedules and more info.

Need a special gift for that special someone? Stop by Salon Giorgio and schedule a massage or entire spa day. For a complete list of specials, click HERE.

Health and Fitness for the New Year

Happy New Year! Here at the Fort Collins Club we have many programs in store to help you reach your fitness and wellness goals. But we know it shouldn't always be work and are planning some great Social Events.

Check out the Events/Results page for upcoming Social Events, Athletic Events and Health and Wellness Talks where a wide range of topics will be discussed featuring local experts. These talks are free to members.

Stop by the Front Desk for info on: "I Lost It at the Club!", Women on Weights, the Winter Basketball Draft, and the Think Light Weight Loss Program. These programs all begin in early January.

Pop your head in the Membership Office which offers a $50 initiation fee for the month of January. This is a savings of up to $150 based on the membership that best fits your needs.

And don't forget, if you haven't taken advantage of our complimentary Fitness Orientation and Assessment program, you can sign up at the Front Desk.

And remember, the Fort Collins Club not only offers a full range of fitness classes to help get you in shape but can also create a fitness plan designed specifically for you through one of our Certified Personal Trainers. Plan Your Holiday Fitness

Alright, so it’s the ‘holiday season’, (aka: the chocolate, cocktail party, cookie, candy cane season). What’s a person to do? When it comes to your fitness, sit down and craft a plan. If you sit and craft a plan, you’re more likely to stick to it and avoid the extra pounds and loss of fitness. Take the five minutes or ten minutes today. The time is totally worth it and you just might be able to be a bit more creative with your New Year’s Resolution. 

Grab a pen and paper and craft a plan you can stick to.  While you’re at it, consider these few items:

1. The winter months are busy gym times. Maximize your workout by visiting the gym at ‘off peak’ hours.

2. Create some goals for yourself. What do you want to accomplish by April 1st?

3. Cross-training can get you in better shape for the warm months by challenging your fitness in different ways. You might be able to do 100 miles on your bike on a given Saturday in July, but try the club’s ‘ClubFit’ class on Saturday morning and test yourself.

4. Try racquetball, squash, boxing, swimming, or spin. Do something different.

5. Keep your routines fresh and fun. Mix up what you’re doing. Our Group Power and Zumba classes are a great way to build strength and cardio.

6. Whatever you choose to do, exercise patience. You’re not going to get that cover model fitness overnight, nor would you want to. Fitness and wellness are lifetime goals. Make them yours today.
